[ENG] Entrepreneurship and business creation are among the tools for fighting poverty. In the case of Madagascar, despite innovation progresses and the development of new technology, business creation rate remains very low. The question to be clarified is the nature and the implications of new technologies in the youngsters’ business creation in Madagascar. This article is therefore entitled “technological barriers to Malagasy youth’s business creation”. The methodology includes a desk study and a survey. As for the writing, it follows the IMRED standards. As regards the results, at a significance level of 0.75, the following hypotheses : (i) exorbitant energy prices, (ii) exorbitant prices of new technologies, (iii) electric power cut, and (iv) the exorbitant costs of materials and equipment are confirmed as constituting technological barriers to starting a business. On the other hand, (a) the quality of new technology and (b) the rapid evolution of technology, although it does not create an obstacle, would not positively affect business creation. The technological stakes are high : a young and poor population will not be 207able to do anything and it is largely up to the State to provide sustainable technological solutions.
