SURVIVANCES DE L’ESCLAVAGE ET DYNAMIQUE MATRIMONIALE À TRAVERS L’EXEMPLE MALGACHE

[FRS] En dépit de la libération par les textes nationaux et internationaux de la femme malgache, il existe encore des contraintes difficilement transgressables pour l’intégration socioprofessionnelle et le choix marital ; en outre, le contexte d’insularité et d’interculturalité fragilise les Malgaches majoritairement analphabètes et vivant sous le seuil de pauvreté. Les femmes qui exercent dans le secteur informel sont statistiquement importantes et ont en outre un degré d’instruction relativement bas. Ainsi, il existe une configuration multiple de formation des couples : endogamie intergénérationnelle, mariage arrangé, mariage imposé, mariage par intérêt, mariage interethnique à visée statutaire, choix marital intra / inter – caste, etc. Le tout se manifeste avec un souci permanent d’éviter l’union conjugale avec le groupe social d’ascendance « mainty » (noirs, esclaves, masombika…). Le discours religieux et les productions scientifiques locales et étrangères ont du mal à fédérer les représentations sociales et les pratiques sociales discriminatoires / stigmatisantes à l’endroit du groupe social susmentionné.
