[ENG] While awaiting the discovery of this Proto-Culture through theresults of archaelogical excavations, JACQUES DEZ is attempting a recons-truction based on language phenomena. In the Indo-European field,the successful collaboration between linguists, the inventors of theWorter und Sachen methods, and archaeologists is well-known. There isno doubt that collaboration in these two branches of study will be ofhclp in resuscitating the Malay-Polynesian past. It is especially witlir gard to material culture that comparative linguisics provide precisedetails that are of use ; througli them, we already possess some ideaof the agriculture, the stock-breeding, the clothing and housing techni-qaes, the music and the navigations of the early Malagasy.
