  [ EN ] Historically, Itomampy valleys have considerable importance for the reconstitution of the past of the southern interior highlands people.
  Since the 15th or 16th century, according to oral traditions and some written sources, the Itomampy can be considered to have a strategic position in the formation of the western kingdoms. However, the Itomampy past is one of the most unknown because this region is one of the most isolated in Madagascar.
