  [FR] À Madagascar, l’univers de l’enseignement connaît un grand bouleversement à l’avènement de la colonisation. L’école change de statut, elle devient officielle et laïque ; elle change de finalités, elle est faite pour servir la colonisation ; elle change de langue, le français s’impose de droit ; et du coup, le profil du maître se trouve complètement transformé, les anciens instituteurs n’ayant pas été formés pour tout cela. Les missions s’efforcent de s’adapter à l’ordre nouveau. Mais l’administration coloniale entend affirmer le système colonial par la création d’une institution : l’école le Myre de Vilers (résumé de l’auteur)
