  [ EN ] On the opposite to the idea widely spred according as the historian should learn nothing from the study of the interdicts the author demonstrates that, from informations given by th oral history and literature of the different regions of the Island, the interdict of the goat in Imerina and Andratsay finds its meaning in the way the hierarchical structure of the roayal groups works on. On the area of ethnography and culture, the interpretation of the interdicts should let point out the meaning of them in the history of the malagasy institutions.
