  [ EN ] Only the collect of oral traditions published between 1923 and 1954 by the pastors Randzavola, Ramaka and Rainihifina and the fathers Trachez, Dubois and Baudeu Yields sources on Manandriana history. Adding traditions collected by the author, the following sketch can be traced : melting with an ancient Vazimba population, groups coming from east and south, the teraky ny dimireny (descendants of five mothers), settled in this region in the XVIIth century. In the middle of this century, a prince, maybe of Antemoro origin, Andrianatara-Ratomponiarivo, founded the Manandriana kingdom. Traditions are rather numerous on the the history of this kingdom since Raindratafika’s reign (end of the XVIIIth century) and for the XIXth century and find an echo in the survey of ancient fortified sites then used as capitals : Vohimalaza, Fihasinana, Ambohimahazo.

Maro tokoa ireo lova-tsofina mikasika ny tantaran’io fanjakana io tamin’ny andron-dRaindratafika (faramparan’ny taon-jato faha-XVIII) ary nandritra ny taon-jato faha-XIX. Hita taratra koa izany tamin’ny fanadihadihana ireto toeram-ponenana taloha natao ho renivohitra : dia i Vohimalaza, Fihasinana, Ambohimahazo.
