  Résumé
  Les fractures mandibulaires survenant après une extraction dentaire sont rares chez le jeune adulte. Le but de ce travail était d’attirer l’attention des praticiens à travers le rapport d’un cas de fracture de l’angle mandibulaire suite à une extraction de dent de sagesse mandibulaire, pris en charge avec succès.
  Il s’agissait d’une patiente de 24 ans sans antécédents pathologiques connus, référée par un cabinet dentaire pour des douleurs intenses post extractionnelles. Le début de la symptomatologie remonte à 5 jours environ marqué par des odontalgies irradiant vers l’oreille gauche ayant motivé une consultation dans un cabinet dentaire public. Une périodontite avait été diagnostiquée sur la dent 38 et une extraction dentaire avec suture muqueuse pratiquée dans le même cabinet. A l’admission dans le service, l’examen clinique avait permis d’évoquer le diagnostic de fracture angulo-mandibulaire post avulsionnelle. La radiographie panoramique réalisée avait confirmé le diagnostic. Le bilan d’opérabilité réalisé était sans particularité. Une ostéosynthèse par miniplaques vissées sous anesthésie générale a été réalisée par voie d’abord cutané sous angulo-mandibulaire après la mise en place d’un blocage intermaxillaire. Les suites opératoires ont été simples et l’évolution a été favorable.
  L’extraction d’une dent de sagesse mandibulaire n’est pas toujours aisée et la technique doit être parfaitement maitrisée par le chirurgien en tenant compte de la fragilité de cette zone.

  Abstract
  Mandibular fractures after dental extraction are rare in young adults. The aim of this work was to attract the attention of practitioners through a report of a case of mandibular angle fracture that occurred as a result of a successfully managed mandibular wisdom tooth extraction.
  This was a 24-year-old patient with unknown pathological history, referred by a dental office for intense post-extraction pain. The beginning of symptomatology dates back about 5 days marked by odontalgias radiating to the left ear that motivated a consultation in a public dental office. Periodontitis had been diagnosed on tooth 38 and dental extraction with mucous suture had been performed in the same practice. At the time of admission to the ward, the clinical examination had revealed the diagnosis of angulo-mandibular fracture after dental extraction. The panoramic X-ray had confirmed the diagnosis. The results of operability were uncharted. Osteosynthesis by mini-stages screwed under general anesthesia were performed by skin first under angulomandibular after the establishment of an intermaxillary blockage. The surgical suites were simple and the evolution was favorable.
  The extraction of a mandibular wisdom tooth is not ever easy and the technique must be perfectly mastered by the surgeon taking into account the fragility of this area.
