  [FRS] La construction démocratique à Madagascar réside dans le rapport du pouvoir d’influencer des pays sources de ladémocratie libérale à la résistance de la population malgache encore fortement alliée à sa tradition. La dynamiquesociale de Mahajanga, construit selon la logique du fihavanana, subit, aujourd’hui, les effets de la démocratisationsans qu’elle n’ait eu le temps de comprendre et de s’adapter ou d’adapter les exigences de cette dernière à sastructure.Le présent article sur l’ethnicisation et la rationalisation de la construction démocratique est une réflexion voulantvaloriser les déterminants partisans dans l’organisation de la démocratie libérale.La discussion scientifique autour du sujet s’appuie sur la théorie de domination et le constructivisme structuralistede Pierre Bourdieu. Avec les rappels sur la notion de démocratie et de pouvoir seront évoqués aussi les points devus des auteurs. La théorie des échelles de Dominique DEJEUX permet d’analyser l’objet au niveau macro-social,micro-social et micro-individuel.La notion d’individu rationnel dans l’exercice de son libre arbitre évolue difficilement dans une tradition qui tirevers l’arrière et une modernité attrayante, motivante et pesante. Les conditions donc de la préservation et del’actualisation permanente de l’identité culturelle des Malgaches passent par les voies d’une constructiondémocratique laissant la place à une logique d’interculturalité mêlant par osmose tradition et modernité, voteethnicisé et vote rationnel dans un schéma de contrôle du pouvoir manipulé en permanence par l’ingérenceétrangère. Il s’agit pour le Malgache d’être rationnel dans un semblant de comportement électoral initié par lastratégie de domination historique mais dont les finalités répondent aux exigences de la « malgachéité », mais nonde quelques pouvoirs d’inclination ethnicisante souhaitée par l’ingérence étrangère.

  [ENG] The construction of democracy in Madagascar lies on the relationship of influence power of the countries source ofliberal democracy to the Malagasy population’s resistance still strongly allied to their tradition. Nowadays, thesocial dynamics/dynamism of Mahajanga, built up according to the logic of the fihavanana, undergoes, the effectsof the democratization without having had any time to understand the real fact and to adapt oneself on therequirements of its structure or to change it.This article on the ethnicization and rationalization of democratic construction is a reflection that seeks to value themain partisans in the organization of liberal democracy.The scientific discussion around the subject is based on Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of domination and structuralistconstructivism. Reminding the notion of democracy and power, the authors’ points of view will also be discussed.The ladder theory of Dominique DEJEUX makes it possible to analyze the object at the macro-social, micro-socialand micro-individual level.The notion of a rational individual in the exercise of his free will hardly evolves in a tradition that pullsbackwards and an attractive, motivating and burdensome modernity. Thus the conditions for the preservation andthe permanent updating of the Malagasy cultural identity go through the ways of a democratic construction leavingthe place for a logic of interculturality mixing up by osmosis tradition and modernity, ethnicized vote and rationalvote in the scheme of power control constantly manipulated by foreign interference. For the Malagasy it means tobe rational in a semblance of electoral behavior initiated by the strategy of historical domination but whose endsmeet the requirements of the "malgacheity", but not of some powers of ethnicizing inclination wished by the foreigninterference.
