  [EN] The karyotype of Anodontohyla montana Angel is described. Squash preparations of fractions from spleen, small intestine and testicle of adults, and from larval epidermis, revealed the number of 2n = 26 chromosomes ; 5 pairs of large and 8 pairs of small homologues. We made use of 12 mitotic figures to determine the relative lengths and the centramere indice in table I. The close resemblance of the karyotype of this species with those of the Ranidae ins indicated.
