[ENG] Ampandrandava mines is one of the oldest underground mines in Madagascar dating backto before the colonial period. It is the only underground mine still accessible and in activity withvarious levels still promising. Apart from its specificity for underground exploitation, this mine isalso characterized by the different minerals including a phlogopite. Despite its age, the deposit isnot yet exhausted but its exploitation is no longer rational as before and leads to the waste of thedeposit. To highlight this mineral, and register the mine among the heritage of mining inMadagascar. A statistical test was done on the production capacity for a few years followed bygeological and mining work in depth and on the surface were carried out in the study area, mappingand analysis work. geochemicals for the determination of the mineral composition. This work allowed us to characterize the mineral as well as the valorization of the mine andthe exploitation site. The geochemical analysis in Ampandrandava phlogopites are highly rich inSiO2, Al2O3, MgO and K2O with SiO2> 35%, Al2O3> 10% and MgO> 25% with an abundanceof CaO> 10% K2O> 10%. They are aluminous-magnesian.
